As it so happens, I shared a few bottles of wine with some friends this weekend. We made a roast with a whole array of roasted root vegetables (including yellow beets, which I tried for the first time-yum!), an amazing salad, and guacamole with pineapple. In terms of wine, I brought a bottle of North Star's Stella Marris red blend, a Dusted Valley Vintners Pinot, and a Syrah from Otis Kenyon.
We had planned on going out afterward, but fell victim to a combination of a food-coma and wine-induced muscular atrophy, and stayed home.
